How to distinguish a ceiling fan is rotating correctly?
The principle of rotation of the ceiling fan:
the motor has a secondary winding (starting winding) placed on the stator, the secondary winding is connected in series with a capacitor, the capacitor makes the current in the secondary winding produce a 90° phase difference in the electric degree angle, the 90° phase difference will produce a two-phase rotating magnetic field, the magnetic field can start by itself, when the number of revolutions reaches a certain value, the secondary winding will automatically disconnect, the motor is left to run single, the main winding (running winding) runs.
The ceiling fan is equipped with two windings, a main winding and a secondary winding, the main winding acting as a running role and the secondary winding connected to a capacitor acting as a starter.
Domestic ceiling fans are generally counterclockwise in a positive direction. When viewed from below towards the ceiling fan, the fan blades are rotating in a counter-clockwise direction, which is normal operation.
With the increase in the variety and design of ceiling fans, there is a clockwise direction for positive steering, so how can we tell the difference? The fan blade is tilted on both sides and after the ceiling fan has turned, the air turns horizontally from the low side of the fan blade edge to the high side of the edge, and the continuous air flow forms the wind.
At this time the wind on both sides of the fan blade side is suction, the other side is a thrust, rotating blowing wind has always been that is positive, the formation of the wind will be able to determine the positive and negative direction of the ceiling fan at home.

What is the purpose of identifying forward and reverse direction? When a ceiling fan that rotates in one direction abnormally starts to rotate in the opposite direction, you will be able to identify that there is a problem with the ceiling fan and that it needs to be repaired.
If the ceiling fan is opened after the running speed is too slow, it is possible that the ceiling fan is used for a long time parts wear and tear, open low gear power is low, there is not enough power; may also be the ceiling fan is too close to the ceiling up and down space height difference is large, the resistance generated by the gas field is too large, hinder the normal operation of the ceiling fan.
The number of turns of the coil in the main winding and the secondary winding varies from ceiling fan to ceiling fan and the speed will also vary. When a ceiling fan with only one turn is reversed, the following may be the cause:
1. The main and secondary windings are wired incorrectly.
2. 90° phase difference up to 180°.
3. Incorrectly mounted blades.
4. Motor capacitor broken.
How to get a reversed ceiling fan back into forward rotation:
1. Replace the wiring of the main and secondary winding connectors.
2. Find a ceiling fan with or without a dual control switch, wire the open ends of the switch at both ends of the main and secondary windings, connect the zero wire at the common end of the main and secondary windings, connect the other end of the main winding to the fire wire, connect the other end of the secondary winding in series with a capacitor, and connect the other end of the capacitor to the fire wire.
3. Remove the blades and reinstall them.
4. Remove the damaged capacitor and replace the capacitor with one of suitable capacity.
