TUV certification standards and testing basis for electric fans.
When it comes to the standards and scope of electric fan certification, the information required for testing and the items to be tested, we use the German TUV certification as an example here.
In the German TUV certification, the following standards are available in the category of electric fans：
IEC 60335-1, EN 60335-1 Safety of electrical appliances for household and similar purposes Part 1: General requirements
IEC 60335-2-80, EN 60335-2-80 Safety of electrical appliances for household and similar use Part 2-80: Special requirements for fans
TUV certified product range：
The above standards apply to electric fans for domestic and similar uses where the rated voltage of the single-phase appliance does not exceed 250V and other rated voltages do not exceed 480V.
1) Ceiling fans; 2) Desk fans; 3) Floor fans; 4) Partition fans; 5) Duct fans; 6) Fans which are not for domestic use but which may still pose a danger to the public, e.g. for use within the confines of ships, light industry and farms.
