The use and replacement method of ceiling fan pull cords
Ceiling fan light switches are used to enable ceiling fans to be switched on, off, speed control and lighting fixtures to be switched on, off and the number of lights to be lit. In life, pull cords are often used as a means of operating ceiling fan switches.
The pull cord controlled ceiling fan requires the connection of a neutral wire and a live wire for a total of two wires, the light socket switch and the gear switch are each fitted with one pull cord to control the light and the gear wind speed respectively.

Method of operation:
Hold the drawstring tightly and pull down to complete the operation of the light switch and gear change.
Advantages：
1) One pull on both left and right lines it can then be operated，which is simpler than wall control as well as remote control operation.
2) Aesthetically pleasing, with more flowing lines of beauty.
3) Don't worry about electric shock caused by touching the power line etc. during operation.
Disadvantages：
1) The general length of the drawstring is 30-50cm, which is not suitable for use in rooms with high heights, while a longer drawstring will cause an overall mismatch and loss of aesthetic appeal.
2) The pull cord will loosen at the switch connection with frequent use.
3) Depending on the material, plastic or fabric drawstrings may break.
Problems that may arise during use：
1) No operation of the ceiling fan after pull-down operation.
When this happens, pull down and observe if all the gears are not moving, if a gear can operate then the fan spindle may be short of oil or the starting capacitor capacity is reduced. At this point, disconnect the power supply, toggle the blade to see if it can easily rotate, to determine whether the spindle is lack of oil is bitten state. If the spindle is short of oil, drop lubricant can be used normally.
2) A foreign object feels stuck when pulling down.
Most of this problem is caused by abnormal reeds. When the pull cord ceiling fan in your home does not pull down, you can disconnect the power supply, take it apart and check if the spring in the switch section is stuck, pick the reed and it will work fine.
If it is not a reed problem, it is the pulling rope damaged, then you need to replace the operation, the following is the pull cord installation and replacement method.
1、Remove the lampshade
2. Turn off the lampholder switch and remove the lampholder
3、Remove the old pull cord
4、New pull cord installed in original position
